Data Processing Addendum
This starter addendum describes how customer personal data is processed when a group uses SeatKeeper.
Last updated: 11 May 2026
1. Roles
For personal data added by a networking group, the group owner is usually the controller and SeatKeeper is usually the processor. This may vary depending on how the service is used.
2. Processing instructions
SeatKeeper will process customer personal data only to provide, maintain, secure and support the service, or as otherwise instructed by the customer.
3. Categories of data
Customer data may include member names, business details, contact details, visitor enquiries, attendance records, presentation records, referral records, meeting notes and email template content.
4. Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures should be used to protect customer data, including access control, secure hosting, encrypted connections and least-privilege administration.
5. Sub-processors
SeatKeeper may use sub-processors for hosting, storage, authentication, payment processing, email delivery and AI content generation. The customer should be informed of material changes where required by law or contract.
6. Deletion and return
On termination, customer data should be deleted or returned within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law, backup processes or legitimate business record keeping.
7. Important note
This page is a practical starter template. Before using SeatKeeper in production with real customer data, ask a qualified UK legal adviser to review your final data processing terms.
